Why you should start collecting graded video games - UKG - WATA - CGC - IGS
The internet is divided as to why anyone would collect graded video games... Companies like WATA, UKG, IGS and CGC make a killing of money and profit and are often backlogged or expensive. However I have a few reasons as to why they are not a bad long term investment....
1. Graded video games are a great way to collect games without stressing about damaging seals, hardware, cartridges, cds, cases or wrappings.
2. These ratings which are some what confusing... basically numbers, letters and pluses, 0-100 or 0-10, A++ to C- and are most often correct as to the condition of the item being graded. Mistakes are bound to happen, video game grading is done by humans and not reptilians after all.
3. Like Art and Watches - A good amount of money can be invested and saved over time.
4. The common argument is "Oh, I cant play them, why would i collect them?"... Well dont be Dom... Say you have sealed copies of the first PC Warcraft or Myst or Diablo or Starcraft etc... pcs and laptops these days wont be able to play them as some use CD - Compact Disk Drives. Does this mean i must not collect them or have anything to do with them becase "I cant play them? ...
The only problem with them is that they are expensive. Over time they become more costly. Let me know if you are an agreer or a hater of graded video games in the comments....
